The optimist sees that our evolving diversity (including what defines a "family") and our great need for a sense of community and a spiritual home will draw us together. |

One of my favorite memories of Suman was spending hours on the phone with him at our old house, discussing films, philosophy and the meaning of life. AND he's a great cook! |
| What advice do you have for Kitty and Suman? Show your kids you love them by the time you spend with them. Let them flirt with you, and teach you what they've learned. Avoid one-upsman-ship. Tell them stories of your youth and of their ancestors. If the choice is a clean house or a game of tag, choose tag. Or call the Aunties and we'll fill in where we can. |
| Who is an important political or business leader today? Never confuse "important" with good. President George W. Bush is important, and it is important to monitor his doings because he's a puppet who can cause a lot of trouble. |
| How has technology changed your life? The internet and wireless phones make it possible to keep in close contact with family so that we know when to converge to support one another. |

| What advice do you have for Kitty and Suman? Very little.. as a first-born, I always felt pressure to be responsible for my younger sibs, but that made me a responsible adult, so... follow your instincts. |
| Who is an important political or business leader today? Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld sure gets around. |
| How has technology changed your life? I now work from home, like I'd always dreamed of but assumed was impossible. |
| What are some problems society has right now? Too many people trying to regulate things that should be personal decisions. |
| What achievements has society made lately? Medicine seems to be getting more effective... hope they have everything cured by the time I get something. |
| What do you predict the next few years will hold? I think the economy is going to get stronger, and the rich will get richer. I hope I'm one of them. |
| What are your hopes for the future? Aside from the usual hopes for world peace, I hope everything can be done online, so I never have to go out and do stuff unless I feel like it. |
